Wanting to create a unique and intriguing lamp design, we took a cue from “the continuous staircase” or “Penrose steps” concept—working with a talented carpenter to create a hand-chiseled lamp with a similar illusion. The result reminds us of a traditional African wooden figure—a lamp that feels lively and warm, yet modern and refined.
Finished with a white fabric covered cord, black hardware and a natural linen shade made in the USA, every detail of this lamp has been considered.
Each lamp base is individually crafted from start to finish by a group of woodworkers in a fair trade environment in Kampala, Uganda.
Wipe wood base clean with a soft cloth as needed.
To remove dust from the linen shade, use a vacuum brush attachment, following the grain of the fabric.
